ELMSFORD, N.Y. (December 18, 2023) – The 2023 year was another successful and impactful one for the MGA Caddie Scholarship Fund.
The MGACSF surpassed 3,000 scholar alums with the class of 2023-24. This year’s class totaled 190 recipients, representing 52 area clubs, that attended 110 colleges, universities, or trade schools. The tuition commitment for this academic year surpassed $1 million.
Five events dotted the calendar, wrapping up with the 42nd annual Pro-Am at Wee Burn Country Club in October.
Mount Kisco Country Club hosted the 48th annual Alumni Reunion in late August. Over 50 supporters of the fund, many of whom were alumni, took to the course for a round of golf and to celebrate the camaraderie of the caddie scholarship fund.
The 2023 edition of the Marathon was one for the record books. Forty-five players played over 2,900 on a beautiful July day at Siwanoy Country Club. The event also raised over $300,000, setting a record. It was the first time the fund raised over $300,000 in a single day at any event.
Nearly 100 golfers competed in the 42nd Pro-Am at Wee Burn Country Club in October. The field was greeted with a beautiful fall day for the fundraiser that directly benefits CSF recipients.
Close to 30 friends of the fund took to Bally’s at Ferry Point on a beautiful September day in the shadow of the Whitestone Bridge in the Bronx. It was the ninth edition of the Friends of the Fund Invitational.
A field of close to 80 golfers attended the eighth annual Christopher C. Hickey Scholarship fundraiser held at the Country Club of Darien. This year’s event raised almost $100,000 for the Fund.
