ELMSFORD, N.Y. (August 9, 2024) – The first recipient of the Wayne Lyski Memorial Scholarship is Matthew Dudek from the Tuxedo Club.
Dudek has been a caddie scholar since 2021 and is a rising senior at James Madison University where he is majoring in accounting. Dudek is originally from Mahwah, New Jersey, and graduated from Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, New Jersey.
The Wayne Lyski Memorial Fund was established in 2022 thanks to generous donations from participants in the golf outing and the Lyski family. Awards can be made to any CSF scholar with demonstrable need, with preference given to those from The Tuxedo Club.
Wayne Lyski passed in the fall of 2020. A beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, and friend, Lyski had a passion for golf and education.
Endowed and named scholarship funds provide additional opportunities for aid. These special scholarships are awarded according to guidelines established by the donor. Some are for specific fields of study, or for caddies from specific clubs, and some are awarded above and beyond the general MGACSF scholarship.
