ELMSFORD, N.Y. (May 10, 2024) – The Metropolitan Golf Association is pleased to welcome Melissa Rimpici to its staff as the Manager, Caddie Scholarship Funds.
Rimpici will manage operations and coordinate activities, goals, and objectives of the Long Island Caddie Scholarship Fund and the MGA Caddie Scholarship Fund. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the MGA, having held positions at several non-profits in New York over the past 20 years. Rimpici received her MBA from Mount Saint Mary College in 2021 and is a coach for the Special Olympics New York in Rockland County.
“I am excited to join the MGA team and look forward to spreading the word of the great benefits and opportunities that golf provides for our youth,” Rimpici says. “My personal goals match those of the Caddie Scholarship Funds, to ensure that not one young person goes without the support they need for their success.”
In this role, Rimpici will play an instrumental role in the MGA Foundation’s efforts to grow and promote the two Caddie Scholarship Funds.
“Melissa brings a wealth of experience and skills to the MGA, and we’re thrilled to welcome her to the team,” says Johanna Gavin, Director of the MGA Foundation. “Her background in youth sports, fundraising, and events will help us to elevate our impact and fulfill our mission of supporting youth caddies and those who work in service to golf.”
Rimpici will be on-site at events for the Long Island Caddie Scholarship Fund and MGA Caddie Scholarship Fund and can be reached at melissa.rimpici@mgagolf.org.
