MGACSF Announces New Class of Scholars for 2024-2025 Academic Year

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (August 6, 2024) — The Metropolitan Golf Association Caddie Scholarship Fund is proud to announce its newest class of scholars for the 2024-25 academic year, featuring 58 young men and women and representing 32 clubs throughout the greater Westchester area.

The 58 scholars, all who caddie or work in service to golf, will attend 44  colleges and universities around the United States this fall as they pursue their education.

The group will join a highly deserving list of young men and women from the nine-county area who will receive financial aid from the MGACSF for the upcoming year.

“The challenges many of our scholars have had to overcome to achieve success, including through the COVID years, are inspirational,” said Melissa Rimpici, the

A total of 199 scholars will receive a scholarship from the MGACSF for the 2024-25 academic year with a tuition commitment of more than $1.1 million.

“While sustaining high grades, navigating unique family dynamics, or perhaps carrying three jobs, the commitment to golf from these young men and women did not waiver,” said Rimpici. We hope that as we, the MGACSF, and our supporters rally for these individuals’ ultimate success, they will meet their goals, propelling them to greatness. We are the champions for their success.”

The MGACSF has awarded more than $27 million in meaningful financial aid to over 3,000 young men and women in its 68 years of existence. Those eligible for the scholarship are students who caddie or work in service to golf –– at golf courses throughout Westchester and the surrounding counties.
