The WGA Caddie Scholarship Fund has announced its scholarship recipients for the 2018-19 academic year. A total of 73 young men and women joined the class of 2018; a total of 271 students from 65 Westchester area clubs and golf affiliations will receive more than one million dollars in scholarship aid this year. Since its inception in 1956, the Fund has awarded more than 2,670 scholars who work in service to golf with $21 million in scholarships. Service to golf includes caddying, work in the golf shop, bag room, on the practice range, or grounds crew.
An eligible candidate must have served a minimum of two seasons in service to golf at a Westchester Golf Association member club, must demonstrate financial need, and must have applied to attend an institution of higher education for undergraduate study.
