The Westchester Golf Association Caddie Scholarship Fund is proud to announce its newest class of scholars for the 2022-23 academic year. The group will join an extremely deserving list of young men and women from Westchester and surrounding counties who will be receiving financial aid from the CSF for the upcoming year. In total, 183 scholars will be recipient of a caddie scholarship in 2022-23.
“It was a special experience and truly a privilege of getting to know this new class,” said Manager of Caddie Scholarship Funds, Jackie Kielty. “These scholars exemplify the meaning of hard work, dedication, and character from all walks of life. We couldn’t be more excited to support them in their next chapter as they pursue their dreams.”
The newest class of scholars features 42 young men and women representing 28 clubs in and around Westchester County. The 42 scholars also represent an impressive 36 universities and colleges across the United States.
Additionally, of the 42 scholars, eight are first-generation college students in their families.
“It is an incredible thing to be able to witness the moment that a scholar’s life changes,” said Kielty. “When everything they have worked for has come to fruition. Our scholars reflect their families and communities and watching them succeed feels like a true testament of the phrase ‘it takes a village.’ Our caddie scholars are deserving, motivated and bound for greatness. We are so proud to be a part of their journey.”
For all 183 scholars, the total annual tuition commitment is just over $950,000. 14 students in the newest class of CSF scholars will also be receiving either an Endowed or Named scholarship from the Fund.
“We are proud and excited to welcome this newest class of CSF scholars,” said WGACSF President John Connor. “Each individual is deserving of their awards and we can’t wait to follow their journey’s over the next few years.”
